A couple of weekends back, Polly from Polly’s Pocket Book and Jess from Making it up blog, started our travels from Essex to Brighton. After filling the car with copious amounts of luggage, alcohol and food we were off! Singing, eating and hysterically laughing, we made it to our Air BnB in about an hour and a half. Amy from Amy Farquhar and Laura from Lola and behold weren’t far behind and we spent the evening eating Polly’s amazing Thai green curry, sipping Prosecco and playing cards against humanity.
As you’ll see below, we stayed in a stylish, quirky, basically instagram goals Air BnB. I would highly recommend, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton. It can sleep up to 6 people and is on the seafront, so provides beautiful views in the morning.
Awoken by Seagulls, Polly made us tea and croissants and we started getting ready for Lola’s #BtonBlogMeet. If you haven’t already figured out, Polly looked after us all weekend, making us dinner, tea and introducing me to heated up mini eggs (thanks Polly!).
We must have spent about an hour putting our makeup on, sharing tips and advice on different products. The sheer volume of makeup in one room, at the same time, was hilarious. This was a selection of the nude lipsticks we had between us!
We spent the afternoon at Lola’s Brighton blog event, which was really funny and were introduced to some new amazing brands. We also received multiple amazing goodie bags and reviews will be featured in upcoming posts! Some brands that stood out were Meraki skincare, Homeage homeware, Minty Coco, Blogosphere magazine and Beegood skincare. After the event, we headed off for some cocktails and dinner.
On Sunday we spent the entire day shopping, venturing through the Lanes and eating. Two things, don’t allow 4 beauty bloggers to go into SpaceNK together, too much money will be spent. Secondly, all the food will be consumed, we managed to squeeze in brunch, cakes and chips!
After the last couple of months, I needed to get out of the house and I couldn’t have planned a better girly weekend away and absolutely adore the girls I went with. I also want to say a huge thank you to Laura, who organised the event and managed to engage some amazing brands. Well done lovely!
